Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor
The game is a dungeon crawl, where the focus is on hack & slash combat and exploring large dungeons. Story progression and interaction with other characters are only a small part of the game, although there are some interactions with NPCs and other characters in the game.
Story
The story is set in the city of New Phlan. A dracolich and his queen, the Sorceress, have taken control of the Mythal, the ancient magic that once protected the long-abandoned elven city of Myth Drannor. Once the elven ruin is fully under their spell, the cult intends to extend its rule city by city - and soul by soul. Four heroes are sent from Elminster to Myth Drannor to stop the Dracolich and the Sorcerer Queen from using the power of Mythal to conquer Faerûn. They must travel to all areas of Myth Drannor, from the dungeons beneath the city, to the city itself, to the catacombs beneath the city, to prevent evil from taking over the region.
