Pokémon Pearl Version

Pokémon Pearl Version

Pokémon Pearl Version and Diamond Version are role-playing games (RPGs) developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. Together with the expanded remake Pokémon Platinum, the games form the fifth installment and fourth generation of the Pokémon RPG series. The games were first released in Japan on September 28, 2006, and were also released in North America, Australia, and Europe during 2007. Like the previous Pokémon games, Diamond and Pearl tell the adventures of a young Pokémon trainer who trains and fights Pokémon while thwarting the plans of a criminal organization. The games offer many new features, such as playing over the Internet with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, changes to battle mechanics and Pokémon competitions, and the addition of 107 new Pokémon. The games are independent of each other, but share the same storyline for the most part. While both games can be played separately, it is necessary to swap between them to complete the games' Pokédexes.
