Planescape: Torment
A CRPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Planescape. The Nameless One, an immortal amnesiac, embarks on a journey through the infinite plains and gathers a group of ambivalent companions to find out who he is and regain his mortality. In the process, he is confronted with the consequences of the atrocities he committed in his previous lives and tries to find the cause of all the torments that plague his companions and the plains.
Story
The game's story begins when the Nameless One wakes up in a morgue. He is immediately approached by a floating skull, Morte, who gives him advice on how to escape. Morte also reads the tattoos on the Nameless One's back to remind him that he is supposed to find a man named Pharod. After talking to the ghost of his former lover, Deionarra, and passing by various undead, the Nameless One leaves the morgue and explores the slums of Sigil.
