Pinball Construction Set

"Pinball Construction Set" pioneered a new video game genre—the "builder" or "construction set" category. Users could build their own virtual pinball machines by dragging game elements onto a table. These elements included bumpers, flippers, spinners, and other typical pinball components. Features such as gravity and the physics model could also be customized. Users could then save their creations and design matching graphics for them. Since Pinball Construction Set itself wasn’t required to play the tables, they could be freely exchanged online or on a floppy disk.
