Pikuniku
"Pikuniku" is a puzzle-adventure game set in a colorful world. The player controls Piku, a small red creature, and guides him through the levels, where he must solve puzzles that mostly involve kicking or pushing objects onto switches to clear the path ahead. Piku can use his legs like a lasso to swing from hooks and zip lines, roll up into a ball, ride mine carts, and crawl through pipes to reach new areas. Along the way, you’ll encounter villagers you can talk to and spend the coins you earn in the levels on items like hats. A local co-op mode allows a second player to control a similar orange creature named Niku through a series of cooperative levels.
Story
In a colorful island world, a cheerful character named Mr. Sunshine appears in a commercial, offering the local creatures free money in exchange for the scrap metal collected by his giant robots. Around the same time, a small red creature named Piku is awakened by a ghost in a cave and told to leave the cave. When Piku ventures back out into the world, he discovers that a legend portrays him as an evil monster, and the frightened villagers lock him up until he agrees to repair the bridge he accidentally destroyed. As Piku gains the villagers’ trust and continues to explore the area, he discovers that Mr. Sunshine’s machines are secretly depleting the island of its vital resources, and he joins a small group of rebels determined to stop them.
