Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Dual Destinies

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Dual Destinies

Dual Destinies continues the game style of the previous parts, in which the players have to use evidence and find contradictions in witness statements to prove their client's innocence. As in the predecessors, the game is divided into investigations, in which players find evidence and question witnesses, and trials, in which they must use the evidence to uncover contradictions. The game now features full 3D graphics and character models that allow for more dynamic camera angles during gameplay, such as quick pans through the courtroom in the moments leading up to a dramatic reveal. Thanks to the 3D camera, the investigation can also take place in 3D rooms, which allows for a greater depth of investigation, such as when you turn around in a room to look for clues.

Story

Dual Destinies takes place about a year after the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. The legal system has entered a dark era, characterized by false accusations and fabricated evidence. The Wright Anything Agency, run by Phoenix Wright, who is retaking the bar exam after the last game to become a criminal defense attorney once again, takes on a newly christened lawyer named Athena Cykes, who specializes in analytical psychology, and joins his other young lawyer, Apollo Justice. Together, Apollo and Athena tackle the case of a murdered alderman and come face to face with Simon Blackquill, a grim prosecutor who must stand trial even though he is currently serving a murder sentence (in the second case of the game). After that, Athena defends her childhood friend Juniper Woods after she is accused of murdering her law school teacher, and gets help from prosecutor Klavier Gavin (third case).
