Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

"Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" is a turn-based role-playing game and the second installment in the "Paper Mario" series, set in a world designed to look like paper. Players guide Mario through thematically designed locations, solve puzzles, and battle enemies in a time-based combat system where well-timed button presses enhance attacks and defense. Battles take place on a stage in front of an audience whose reactions can either help or hinder the player, and Mario assembles a group of companions with unique abilities while equipping badges that grant him new skills. In short segments between chapters, the player can also control Princess Peach and Bowser.
