Outcast

In 2007, a parallel universe is discovered by scientists. The U.S. government sends a probe into this universe and learns of the existence of an entire alien civilization there. However, an apparently hostile alien damages the probe, creating a black hole that threatens the existence of our own world. Former U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. editor Slade is assigned to accompany three scientists into the parallel universe to repair the probe and avert the danger. Upon arrival, Cutter is separated from the scientists and greeted by the inhabitants, the Talan. It seems that their world, Adelpha, has its own problems: A mysterious being called Faé Rhan has assembled an army of Talans who feel superior to the rest of the population and want to rule them by force. Cutter is appointed Ulukai, a savior mentioned in a prophecy, and tasked with finding five sacred relics to overthrow Faé Rhan - while also trying to track down the scientists and save Earth in the process. Outcast is a 3D three-person action game (with optional first-person perspective) with adventure elements. The protagonist travels through the five continents of Adelpha (plus a tutorial island) in search of five sacred relics. Each land has its own landscape (mountains, lakes, forests), inhabited areas, as well as dozens of small problems - small quests that the hero must solve. You can converse with most of the Talans that populate the world on a variety of topics. A large part of the game consists in finding important characters and completing quests for them; some of them are optional, but most of them must be completed in a linear way to advance the plot. Cutter can travel between continents through special portals. Besides exploring and completing quests, Cutter also fights against many guards and creatures. He has six futuristic weapons at his disposal (railgun and others); the ammunition for these weapons is scattered everywhere and can also be made by mixing items. Aiming aids are available in the form of laser sights. It is also possible to sneak up on the enemy and take them out silently. Gadgets like a holo-decoy can help Cutter gain the upper hand in combat. The player character can also jump, climb, swim, dive, crawl and ride a native animal called Twon-Ha to move faster.
