Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a game about a fictional conflict on one of the Sakhalin Islands that threatens to escalate into a global conflict. The player takes on the role of a US soldier who is part of the allied forces fighting against the numerically superior Chinese forces for control of the island. At the heart of the game is a campaign story that offers players a variety of roles in the Allied forces, from Marine infantry to tank commander to Special Forces to helicopter captain. The game offers an incredibly realistic representation of the war with great attention to detail in the weapons, equipment and tactics of the forces. The action is varied, ranging from intense firefights to slower tactical decisions on how best to achieve mission objectives.
