ObsCure: The Aftermath
Two years ago, a group of young teenagers were trapped in their school. They suffered through the longest night of their lives, chased by hideous creatures created by their principal. Some of them survived that terrible night, while others perished. Now the survivors have put their lives back together and are going to college. But all is not well at Fallcreek University: strange flowers are suddenly appearing all over campus, containing a dangerous substance that causes strange but vivid dreams. A handful of students learn that the flowers are much more dangerous than they seem. When the seeds finally sprout, the nightmare suddenly becomes a terrifying reality....
Story
The story takes place two years after the "Leafmore Incident" (the events of the first Obscure); the Leafmore Incident has somehow been covered up. Shannon and Kenny are now enrolled at nearby Fallcreek University, while Stan is reorganizing his life as a delivery driver. Stan and Kenny must take medication to prevent the effects of the plant from infecting their bodies, while Shannon has been able to adapt to the changes. As the story begins, a new drug extracted from a strange flower quickly spreads its influence over the university's population. Soon a small group of students, along with the survivors of Leafmore High, must face a horde of mutants and try to stay alive. The spores spread throughout the town and later across the country. The outbreak begins at a ΔΘГ fraternity party. Amy and Kenny are the first to arrive and find that the whole place is infected when they enter. Then they meet a scientist, Richard James, the university's biology teacher, who helps the player several times. After some time, Corey and Mei join the group and try to escape. Once outside, Sven is almost run over by someone driving Corey's car, so Corey and Amy chase the car thief into the woods. Meanwhile, Mei receives a call from her twin sister Jun and goes with Sven to rescue her, but she fails as Jun is killed by a monster. The duo find Corey's car, but the owner gets angry and, together with Amy, kills the now mutated thief. After another walk, they notice a disfigured man, fight new monsters (harpies) and run through the woods, eventually ending up at "Fallcreek University Hospital" where they find Shannon and her brother Kenny, who is seriously ill from sniffing the black spore flower drug. He can't find his medicine and eventually succumbs and turns into a monster. Then the whole group meets on the east first floor of the hospital, where they create a chemical dynamite to destroy a wall and get to the parking lot. Sven and Corey help everyone get into a warehouse, but they are surprised by a monstrous Kenny, who throws Corey against a pole and kills Mei, leaving Corey very shaken. Stan, who had answered Kenny's call before he mutated, meets up with the surviving group and drives them off until he breaks off and falls into a dam. Shannon and Stan explore the dam and the whole group eventually reunites to find Amy in a corner of the room. After finding Amy, they realize that this was a result of Kenny's actions, who implied that he raped her. The group flees, but Corey and Shannon stay and defeat him by dropping him into a pit where a giant metal device falls on him. As the game progresses, Stan and Shannon grow closer. While they look for shelter, Amy and Sven explore the place and are ambushed by a man with a disfigured face and a chainsaw. The disfigured man fights Sven to allow Amy to escape. Finding Sven impaled on a meat hook in an abandoned house, Stan and Shannon pursue the disfigured man and find the ruins of the school from the first game and a tree with giant moving branches. The giant tree is actually the mutated remains of Leonard Friedman (from Obscure), while the disfigured man is his son Jedidiah. Friedman had injected himself with a virus that mutated him and was then passed on to Jedidiah. Stan and Corey kill the Friedman tree, while Corey takes out Jedidiah to avenge Sven's death. When the two return, they find Richard and an ambulance transporting a pregnant Amy. Stan and Corey find out that the Delta Theta Gamma fraternity is no ordinary sorority, but an ancient and powerful organization that wants to harness the power of Mortifilla. The ambulance takes Stan, Shannon, Amy and Corey away, but they crash on a bridge after driving through a cloud of spores. Stan and Shannon try to find out where Richard's new pickup point is and try to reach him, while Corey goes to rescue Amy. Along the way, they stumble upon the Delta Theta Gamma museum in Fallcreek and discover that they are responsible for covering up the incident at Leaftmore and are involved in the Fredman's experiment with the Mortifilla. They also discover that Josh and Ashley, their friends from Leaftmore, were killed by Jedidath after investigating the abandoned house where Jedidath lives. Corey arrives first and sees Richard take off in a helicopter with Amy. But the ride is stopped by the still living and even more powerful monster Kenny. Corey decides to fight Kenny, but the fight doesn't last long as Kenny manages to infect Corey. When Shannon and Stan reach the new target point, they see Corey on his knees, just as he was infected before Stan and Shannon arrived. He explains that Mei was the only one he cared about and then commits suicide. Stan and Shannon kill Kenny by crushing him with a giant platform of lights above the soccer field. When Kenny
