Nobunaga's Ambition

Nobunaga's Ambition, the first game in the series, was released in 1983. Players take on the role of either Nobunaga Oda or Shingen Takeda and strive to conquer the entire country (17 territories in the Kansai region and central Japan). They manage their land to make it rich and then prepare their military forces. These then attack the surrounding clans and defeat them in battle.
