No More Room in Hell

"When there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth." No More Room in Hell (PC Gamer's Mod of the Year 2011, ModDB's Editor Choice Multiplayer Mod of the Year 2011) is a cooperative, realistic first-person survival horror mod for the Source Engine, a tribute to the highly acclaimed film series from which the above quote comes. Following George Romero's "Of the Dead" series, the mod is set in a time when the world is in danger of descending into chaos due to a disease whose origin is unknown. Many experts and organizations have their theories and ideas about how such a disease originated and began to systematically destroy our way of life, but one fact is clear to all. Those who die from the disease get up and kill, and the people who killed them get up and kill. The chances of you surviving this war between society and the undead are slim to none. Already there are millions of walking dead wandering around looking for food. There is no known cure. A single bite can end your life. But you are not alone in this nightmare. There are still a handful of uninfected survivors in this godforsaken hellhole, and with cooperation and teamwork, you may survive long enough to fight your way to salvation.Features:Teamwork: Cooperative gameplay with up to eight players. Voice and text communication limited by distance: the farther away you are, the harder it is for other players to hear you. Keep the walkie-talkies nearby. Dynamic Destination Cards: The next playthrough may not be the same as the last! Survival Mode: Defend your safe house against the undead and hope to be taken to a safe area. A realistic approach: In short, no crosshairs with limited "only if you want it" HUD. Also, ammo and weapons are extremely scarce. That's why you should point your sights down and shoot at the head! A variety of different enemies: from the iconic "walking zombie" to the more modern "runners", NMRiH will keep you on your toes with a mix of dangerous foes. But the most dangerous enemy isn't always the walking dead.... The infection: one bite can be enough to bring you down. When you're infected, you'll have to decide whether to alert your team to free you from your burden, or stay quiet in the hope of finding a cure....
