NHL 2K8 is an ice hockey video game from 2K Sports that was released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Xbox 360 consoles. The cover features Jason Spezza, center for the Ottawa Senators. Bob Cole and Harry Neale return from NHL 2K6 and NHL 2K7 to provide commentary. New features in the game include a completely new passing system, a brand-new ProStick system—in which the right skill stick is used for dodging, passing, and puck handling, as well as a completely new system called “Superstar Combo Moves,” which mimics real evasion maneuvers and dekes from actual NHL players and can be activated in-game with the push of a button. The game also features a completely new goaltending system with brand-new graphics and animations. NHL 2K8 introduced the new Reebok Edge jerseys—via a code that could be found on the 2K Sports website.
