New Super Mario Bros. 2
New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a side-scrolling 2.5D action-adventure platform game for Nintendo 3DS. As a direct sequel to New Super Mario Bros, it is an indirect successor to New Super Mario Bros Wii. The focus of the game is on coins. The main objective is to collect a million. To achieve this goal, the game includes many new items that help the player, such as the Gold Flower that transforms Mario into Gold Mario.
Story
Mario and Luigi visit Princess Peach's castle. As always, they chat with Princess Peach about their adventures. When Princess Peach waves goodbye, Mario and Luigi use their tail transformation to get a bunch of coins from the sky. No sooner have they landed to take a break than a black shadow approaches overhead. They hear a loud bang as Bowser's minions appear in a plane and slam to the ground directly above them. They stare in surprise as Princess Peach appears and calls for help. She's been kidnapped again! The heroes set off in pursuit and a new adventure begins!
