Neocron

Neocron is a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released in 2002, developed by Reakktor Media GmbH (based in Hanover, Germany) and published by cdv Software Entertainment. It is considered the first MMORPG in the cyberpunk genre and was designed to incorporate elements of first-person shooters. Neocron was released in 2002, and its sequel, “Neocron 2: Beyond Dome of York,” followed in 2004. Both games were developed by Reakktor Media GmbH, but unfortunately, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2012—though it survived and is now known as Reakktor Studios. A small team of passionate fans has come together to revive, maintain, and further develop the game, and has set up a server so that the public can experience the game that is so dear to our hearts.
