Mother 3
A turn-based JRPG and sequel to EarthBound (1994), in which a tragedy surrounding a family in the primitive but cheerful village of Tazmily triggers the coming-of-age story of Lucas, the younger son of the family, who, along with his friends, goes on dangerous adventures to find his missing brother and stop a group of masked men from bringing about the end of the world.
Story
Mother 3 is set in the Nowhere Islands, some unknown years after EarthBound. Chaos breaks out after an invasion by the Pigmask army, named after the uniforms that resemble pigs, and their leader Porky Minch, the "Pig King". They slowly build a police state, experiment with the flora and fauna of the land, and introduce new technologies and infrastructure to the islands. The various chapters describe the life of a boy named Lucas and his family and friends who band together to free the Nowhere Islands from the Pigmask Army.
