Mortal Kombat II
The Mortal Kombat fighters and some new ones return for a tournament hosted by the evil Shang Tsung from the outside world. As always, the fights take place in one-on-one mode and are famous for their high level of violence and blood (unlike in the defanged Nintendo version). There are 5 difficulty levels and optional credits, as well as the usual two-player mode with duels between the same characters.
Story
After his defeat, Shang Tsung begs his master Shao Kahn to spare his life. He tells Shao Kahn that he cannot refuse the invitation to Mortal Kombat and that the warriors from the Earth Kingdom must participate if they hold it in the outside world. Kahn agrees to this plan and restores Tsung's youth. He extends the invitation to Raiden, who gathers his warriors and takes them to the outside world. The tournament is dangerous because Shao Kahn has the home field advantage, and an Outer World victory would upset the Furies and allow the Outer World to subjugate Earth Thrall.
