Mission Asteroid
An asteroid is on a collision course with the Earth and it is up to the player to prevent the inevitable catastrophe. "Mission Asteroid" is the third text adventure with graphic illustrations from Sierra. However, due to its easy difficulty level, it was released as number zero in Sierra's Hi-Res Adventure series. The game's parser only understands simple commands with one or two words.
Story
A terrible tragedy is unfolding on Earth. An asteroid is hurtling through space directly towards Earth. This asteroid was one of many orbiting the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. Somehow this asteroid has jumped out of its orbit and is now threatening the lives of all living creatures on Earth. The only way to stop the asteroid is to blow it up in space before it reaches Earth. As an astronaut, you have the task of flying to the asteroid and blowing it up.
