Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two continues Jesse's saga in a five-part, narrative-driven, episodic game series developed by Telltale in collaboration with Mojang and members of the Minecraft community. Although player choices from the first season will carry over into the second season, this new season is accessible to both old fans and newcomers alike. The second season will also include Telltale's unique multiplayer feature "Crowd Play", which allows friends and family to take on the adventure together by shaping the direction of the story from any mobile device with an online connection. Now that Jesse and the gang have defeated the Withering Storm, saved the world and become super-famous heroes, life has gotten a little... more complicated. With more responsibilities and less time for adventure, old friendships begin to fade - at least until Jesse's hand gets stuck in a creepy glove that belongs to an ancient underwater temple. Together with old friends and new comrades, Jesse embarks on a brand new journey full of difficult decisions, good times and at least one feisty llama.

Story

Radar, Jesse's new intern, informs Jesse of an upcoming adventure with Petra. Jesse helps the townspeople prepare for Foundation Day before meeting her. Their meeting place self-destructs, revealing a bottomless pit nicknamed the Maw, where Jesse finds a mysterious Prismarine glove stuck in her hand. Petra finds Jack, a hero who can help Jesse remove the glove and close the Hellmouth. Jack reveals that the glove is being tracked to an ocean monument and that a "structure block" can close the pit. Jesse convinces Jack and his villager friend Nurm to take her and Petra there. After Jesse frees Jack's old friend Vos and collects the structure block, the Admin appears as a prismatic colossus and tries to kill them, but they and their companions escape. After Jesse defeats his colossus form, the Admin returns as a snowman and challenges Jesse's group to reclaim the clock (later destroyed by Petra or Jack) in his ice palace, whereupon they set off, accompanied by Jesse's so-called "rival" Stella and her llama Lluna. However, it turns out that Vos was the admin all along, holding Jesse and the person who didn't destroy the clock captive, while the person who did gets the gauntlet and is dragged away. The Admin teleports Jesse, Jack/Petra, Radar, and Jack's villager friend Nurm to the Sunshine Institute, a prison full of people the Admin has sent down. Jesse and Jack/Petra try to escape, but a prison golem reprimands them and incapacitates them. Jesse wakes up in the warden's office. There, Jesse has the choice of working for the warden and saving Radar, who is about to suffocate, or resisting. After learning more, the group discovers a dangerous prisoner known as Prisoner X. The admin gets to the prison before Jesse has a chance to go down, demotes the warden to prisoner and has Petra/Jack fight Jesse. They both try to slash the warden, but he stops them and runs the gauntlet from Petra/Jack before leaving the prison and assuming Jesse's identity. Jesse then makes it to Prisoner X and after a conversation, she reveals that her name is Xara and the admin's name is Romeo. Xara agrees to help Jesse and the rest of the group, but her prison is equipped with TNT and pressure plates that explode if no one stands on them. Jesse then has to leave either Nurm or Lluna behind to escape. After they make it and arm themselves, the warden reveals that Xara was a former admin and Romeo took her powers before Xara kills him and leads the group underground. Jesse learns from Xara that she and Romeo weren't the only admins; there was a third named Fred who had developed a weapon that could take Romeo's powers. Romeo found out and killed Fred, but not before he hid the weapon somewhere. Xara agrees to help repair the portal in her old town, the Oasis, while Jesse, Petra and Radar go to Fred's keep, where they meet the people living there and find a clue that suggests the weapon may be in Romeoburg. Before they get there, they are met by Ivor, who agrees to help Jesse before he leaves. After completing a test in Romeoburg, they find a diary containing a password: "#POTATO451". Back at the oasis, Jesse is given the choice to give Xara back her bed. If they do, she will stay behind to fend off the invading monsters. Jesse must decide whether to let Radar sacrifice himself to distract a giant Enderman, or abandon Fred's people. After returning home, Jesse, Petra and Jack devise a plan to fight Romeo. If Jesse gave Xara her bed, Romeo destroys the neighboring Champion City, but if Jesse didn't give Xara her bed, she tries to attack Romeo, only to be strangled to death. It turns out that Ivor has managed to break Nurm or Lluna out of prison. With Luke's help, they reach "Terminal Space", the headquarters of the administration. Jesse, Jack and Petra reach Terminal Space, where Jesse collects Fred's gauntlet after entering the password and fighting Romeo. Jesse successfully uses the gauntlet to take away Romeo's power. If they chose to save Fred's people, Radar comes to rescue them. If not, Romeo distracts the monsters in Terminal Space so Jesse and his friends can escape. In Jesse's final decision, they must decide whether to leave Beacontown and adventure with Petra or remain mayor.
