Military Madness
Military Madness (published in Japan as Nectaris) is a futuristic, turn-based strategy game. The year is 2089 and the setting is Earth's moon, where many important resources are stored. As Earth's governments fight over their claims to the moon, the evil Axis Empire launches a military campaign and takes over the moon to produce advanced weapons in its factories, including the most devastating: the SAM (Supreme Atomic Missile). As commander of the Allied forces, it is the player's task to lead the remaining Allied armies in a desperate offensive against the Axis Empire on the lunar surface before they can use the SAM to destroy the Earth.
Story
Space on Earth is limited and humanity has attempted to colonize the moon. A group known as the Axis Powers has seized control of most of the moon's surface, and it's up to you, as a member of the Allied Powers, to fight against them. As you move across the map (which is presented in a 2D top-down perspective), enemy fighters will try to prevent you from reaching your objective. As soon as you encounter an enemy, the screen changes view and shows you the battle in close-up.
