Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator: WWII Europe Series

Microsoft's flight simulators aimed to realistically portray the life of a commercial pilot for over a decade before combat missions were added. In this spin-off (excuse the pun) of the series, you are a fighter pilot in World War II, either for the RAF, the USAAF or the Luftwaffe. Eight different airplanes and the destroyed cities of Berlin, Paris and London are included. The cockpits are fully recreated and there are damage models - look out for engine smoke and explosion debris. There is a full campaign mode covering the Battle of Britain, the defense of London during the Blitz and completing the job started on D-Day by strafing ground targets, you can also play individual missions or fly free. Online multiplayer options allow you to fight this global battle in the real world.
