Story

Metal Warriors is set in the year 2102, in which the United Earth government is besieged by the Dark Axis forces led by the dictator Venkar Amon, who has been waging a war against them on Earth for three years. However, the titular freedom-fighting group, equipped with robotic battle suits, is the only remaining group defending the planet. In the role of Lieutenant Stone[4], players control him through a variety of missions initially set in space. Along the way, they must accomplish objectives such as rescuing Agent Marissa from Axis 5 and capturing an enemy supply ship and a heavily guarded asteroid base in order to obtain vital resources for the group - the latter so successful that Stone was promoted from lieutenant to captain of his crew.[However, the recent success quickly attracts the attention of the Axis forces, who attack the group's main ship with threatening enemy fire, which Stone and his crew must fend off with the stolen Prometheus units.[11] After the recent event, the group is tasked with disabling an anti-spacecraft cannon in Alaska to ensure a safe landing for the air operations that would eventually lead to the elimination of the Axis powers on Earth. After stealing the experimental flying Dragon machine from a jungle facility in Chile, fighting their way through the bombed-out city of Dorado, capturing underground Axis mining facilities, and capturing a command key from an enemy communications tower, the group finally arrives at the Axis command center where a superweapon is rumored to be being built, and Stone and his crew lead the final assault.[11][12][13][14] Once Stone reaches the depths of the center, he confronts Venkar Amon and defeats his superweapon in a battle between full-motion flying armored suits, but Amon tries to escape with a hijacked nitro suit, but he dies in the incineration next to the base. Stone escapes the explosion, but his nitro suit is destroyed when he lands on the ground, which means the end of the Dark Axis and the war.
