Mega Man X8
Mega Man X 8 adds more depth and variety to this classic game series. While Earth is in ruins after Sigma's invasion, humanity is building a new breed of reploids to colonize the moon. Sigma has corrupted their DNA and caused them to turn against humans. You and your teammates head to the moon for a space adventure of epic proportions!
Story
At the end of 21XX, the Maverick Wars continue and there is no end in sight. To escape the carnage, humans have begun to migrate to the moon as part of the "Jacob Project" and build an elevator there. One night, when X is on patrol, one of the elevators breaks off and crashes down to Earth. As X approaches the elevator, the doors open to reveal an army of Sigmas. Suddenly, a purple-haired reploid appears and introduces himself as Lumine, the director of the Jacob Project. He reveals that the "Sigma Army" is not what it seems. Instead, they are a new generation of reploids created by the project, immune to viruses and able to change their shape and appearance using DNA copies to aid in the development of space.
