Mario Party

Each game in the main series has a standard party mode in which up to four players play through a board trying to collect as many stars as possible. In each round, each player rolls a die and advances on the board, which usually has branching paths. Coins are earned mainly by performing well in a mini-game that is played at the end of each round. On most boards, players earn stars by reaching a star field and buying a star for a certain amount of coins. The star field appears randomly in one of several predetermined locations and moves to a blue field each time a star is purchased, usually. Each Mario Party contains at least 50 to nearly 110 mini-games of a few different types. In four-player games, players compete against each other individually. In 2-against-2 and 1-against-3 mini-games, players compete as two groups that work together to win, even though they still compete individually in the main game. Some mini-games in Mario Party are 4-player co-op games, even though this is not stated. In most cases, the winners get ten coins each.
