Mario Kart Wii

Mario Kart Wii is a multiplayer-oriented racing game for the Wii and the sixth installment in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart Wii retains the traditional item-based armament of the series, with players able to select a driver from the Mario series and themed vehicles. As with most racing games, the overall objective is to get first place among the other competitors by using such items and taking the fastest tracks to secure the lead. Among the new key elements of Mario Kart Wii are the increase in the number of racers from 8 to 12 and the introduction of a new type of vehicle in the series: bicycles. The game takes advantage of the Wii's unique features, especially its motion control capabilities. A Wii Wheel is included in most Mario Kart Wii packages, although the game is compatible with other controllers. There are also game modes such as the traditional Grand Prix, Versus, Battle and Time Trial modes.
