Story
The game takes place immediately after the events of LittleBigPlanet 2. In Story Mode, Sackboy faces off against The Hoard, who want to steal the prizes of the Craftverse "for no reason other than to hoard them." Players begin Story Mode by getting into a car that has been crashed by a member of The Hoard and driving after them to retrieve the stolen prizes. Sackboy races through many locations that have been looted by the Hoard. The Sackbots help him in his search. The adventure begins with the queen asking Sackboy to remove the hoard from LittleBigPlanet. After that, Sackboy travels to a tropical, beach-like planet called Monster Islands, where a local named Ray asks the turtle for help in finding the legendary giant monster. When they find it, they discover that the hoard has stolen their egg, so Sackboy must return it. The hoard also tries to steal "Brainergy" and pastries from Victoria's lab (now its own planet).
