Lifeless Planet
Lifeless Planet was inspired by science fiction stories from the Cold War era and raises questions about humanity's desire for space travel. What if you traveled across the galaxy to another planet, only to find that humans were already there? What kind of person would sign up for a one-way mission, leaving Earth and everyone they've ever known and loved behind, to go in search of an Earth-like planet? Equipped with a jetpack and a moving robotic arm, the player must use wits and skill to solve puzzles, unravel the mystery and survive the lifeless planet!
Story
While searching for life on a distant planet, an astronaut discovers an abandoned Russian city. He suspects his mission is a hoax, until a mysterious young woman saves him from a strange and deadly phenomenon... Lifeless Planet is a third-person action adventure game with an old-school sci-fi story and spectacular environments in the style of classic action adventures. After a hard landing on the planet, the astronaut discovers that the planet where life is supposed to be abundant is instead a barren wasteland. As he sets out to find his crew, he makes an even more startling discovery: evidence that humans were on this planet years ago! When he comes across an abandoned Soviet-era Russian city, he struggles to make sense of his mission. Did his light-speed travel to the planet send him back in time? Or is it all just a strange Cold War hoax? Along the way, the astronaut meets a Russian woman, Aelita, who is somehow able to survive the planet's hostile atmosphere. Due to an unusual natural phenomenon, her skin causes the ground beneath her feet to glow green. The player must use these glowing tracks as a guide across the planet, past treacherous and deadly threats. Will she lead him to safety ... or to an early death?
