Kirby's Dream Land

Kirby's Dream Land

The gluttonous King Dedede has stolen all the food from the residents of Dream Land for a midnight feast, so Kirby, a resident of Dream Land, sets out to retrieve the food and stop Dedede. Kirby's Dream Land plays like other platform games from the 8- and 16-bit era of video games: Kirby must use various natural abilities and occasionally external abilities or items to reach the goal at the end of each level. As in many jump'n'run games of the 1980s, the player can collect points and gets an extra life when he has enough points. However, since Kirby does not have a save function, scores are not recorded. Also, there are no save files, so the player must start over when the Game Boy is turned off, when he/she returns to the title screen after a Game Over, or when he/she resets the game. All levels are played on a two-dimensional plane where Kirby can only move left, right, up and down. Kirby can walk, jump and fly. Kirby can also inhale objects and enemies, swallow them or spit them out as projectiles.
