Story

The game tells the story of Roxas before the events of Kingdom Hearts II. On the day he is born as Sora's Nobody, when Sora turns into a Heartless in the original Kingdom Hearts, Roxas is found in Twilight Town by Xemnas, the leader of the XIII organization, who appoints him as its thirteenth member. Every day he is sent on missions to other worlds, either alone or accompanied by his companions, to destroy Heartless with the Keyblade and free captured Hearts, with which the organization can achieve its objective of summoning Kingdom Hearts and becoming complete beings. Roxas is placed in the care of Axel, with whom he befriends and spends his free time, when at the end of each day they sit on the clock tower in Twilight Town, talk about their thoughts and eat sea salt ice cream together. Shortly after Roxas' admission, the organization gathers in the Round Room to witness the arrival of a mysterious fourteenth member, Xion. Her appearance changes from person to person depending on their relationship with her. Later, when Axel and some other members are transferred to Oblivion Castle (which is the basis for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories), Roxas is brought together with Xion.
