Jet Moto
The gameplay of the Jet Moto series differs from traditional racing games, as players instead control hoverbikes that hover close to the ground and can be ridden over both land and water. Most of the tracks in the games are designed to take advantage of this ability. The game has a variation of the traditional road course, but also introduces a new type of course called the suicide course. These courses are not an endless loop, but have checkpoints at both ends of the course and a starting lineup in the middle. Characters race to one end, then turn around and head for the other checkpoint until all laps are completed. This adds a new game dynamic, as players often have to drive around oncoming traffic. Characters are divided into teams and the bikes are adorned with logos from products like Mountain Dew and Butterfinger, much like sponsored races in real life.
