Jet Moto 3

Jet Moto 3

Jet Moto 3 was released exclusively for the PlayStation video game console in 1999. It was the only Jet Moto title released by developer Pacific Coast Power & Light and publisher 989 Studios. It was only released in North America. The gameplay of the Jet Moto series differs from conventional racing games. Instead, players control hoverbikes that sit close to the ground and can be driven over land and water. Most of the tracks in the games are designed to take advantage of this ability. The game has a variation of the traditional road course, but also introduces a new type of track called a suicide course. These tracks are not an endless loop, but have checkpoints at either end of the track and a starting grid in the middle. The characters race to one end, then turn around and head for the other checkpoint. This creates a new gameplay dynamic, as the player often has to drive around oncoming traffic. The characters are split into teams and the bikes are adorned with logos of products such as Mountain Dew and Butterfinger, similar to sponsored races in real life.
