James Bond 007: The Stealth Affair

007 James Bond: The Stealth Affair, also known as Operation Stealth in Europe, is an adventure game by Delphine Software International that was released in 1990. The game is mainly the work of Paul Cuisset (programming) and Jean Baudlot (sound). In the United States, the game was released with the Bond license, but this led to some inconsistencies as the MI6 agent seemed to take his orders from the CIA. The Stealth Affair consists mainly of point-and-click gameplay reminiscent of many LucasArts adventures of the time, as well as a number of action-oriented elements, including an overhead maze and a scene in which Glames/Bond attempts to escape from an underwater cave before running out of oxygen. The cracked Amiga version of the game contained a primitive synthesized voice that could play all the dialog in the game if 1 MB or more of RAM was installed. Unfortunately, the crack contained a bug that caused the game to freeze and restart if the player tried to press the mouse button to skip through the voice acting faster. For this reason, many experienced players removed the memory extension before playing the game for an extended period of time.
