James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace

007: Quantum of Solace is a James Bond video game based on the films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Several different versions of the game have been released for seven platforms, with the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC being first-person shooters, and the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS being third-person shooters. It is powered by the Call of Duty 4 game engine. The gameplay of Quantum of Solace is that of a first-person shooter. However, as the game progresses, the view switches to a third-person perspective to emphasize that the player is playing in the role of James Bond. This third-person view is used with a cover system and quick-time events, among other things. An example of this is the chase of Mollaka in a level that is modeled after the construction site chase at the beginning of the movie Casino Royale.

Story

Bond meets Vesper Lynd, a Treasury accountant, on the way to Montenegro. After their meeting, Bond fights dealers of a drug organization distributed on the train and kills the boss who was invited to Le Chiffre's Casino Royale game, replacing him in the game (a notable difference from the movie). After the fight, Bond arrives in Montenegro, where he confronts Le Chiffre. After defeating Le Chiffre in the poker game, Vesper is kidnapped. Bond pursues the kidnappers, but crashes his car and is taken hostage. He escapes and fights his way through Le Chiffre's barge to rescue Vesper. He succeeds, but Bond and Vesper are recaptured by Le Chiffre's bodyguards. As they near death, they are saved when Mr. White kills Le Chiffre for his recent actions, leaving Bond and Vesper alive.
