Story

You are Peter "Pete" OBrannon, a private detective. Sounds fascinating? It's not, trust me - unless you get a thrill out of chasing cheating husbands and runaway dogs while living off cheap Chinese food in seedy motels. THAT would be Pete's job - but luckily for him, he has a good client who pays his bills. It's GlobalSecure Inc, one of the largest insurance companies on the East Coast. More specifically, it's Samantha "Sam" Miller, who heads up the insurance fraud investigation department. She's tough, she's smart, she's better than Pete. Better by far. But due to the company's code of conduct and some nasty ethical rules, she's unable to take "semi-legal" steps to obtain vital information and evidence. That's where Pete comes in - for 500 dollars a day and a 20% cut of the money the company saves on what Pete finds out.
