Black Isle Studios is pleased to introduce Icewind Dale II, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Icewind Dale, set thirty years after the original game. Based on the Dungeons & Dragons Third Edition rules, Icewind Dale II continues the classic dungeon crawling experience of the first game, with a horde of new monsters to slay, spells to unleash, and lands to explore in the windswept north of the Forgotten Realms. A serious new threat has emerged in the north, a threat that seeks to seal off the Ten Cities from the rest of Faerûn in a fierce power struggle. The city of Bremen has fallen, and a vicious horde of goblins, orcs, and beetles has gathered under the mysterious banner of the Chimera and is marching toward the port city of Targos. Fearing being overrun, Targos has called upon all able-bodied adventurers, soldiers, and mercenaries to sail north to join the city's defenders against the advancing hordes. You and your companions have answered the call.
