Hellnight

"Hellnight" (known as "Dark Messiah" in Japan) is essentially a survival horror game, even though it contains no combat sequences. The player controls the nameless hero and must navigate the underground to protect Naomi. There is only one monster in the entire game: the “Creature” itself, which is invulnerable and cannot be killed. Instead, players are constantly on the run from it and must be careful not to get caught. The game is divided into large, labyrinthine levels, most of which contain the Creature that pursues the player (though it changes form after each level). At certain points, there are companions who can attack the monster and temporarily stun it. Additionally, the underworld features people to talk to, items to collect, and puzzles to solve.
