Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.²

Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.² is a third-person shooter video game created by Ritual Entertainment in 2000. In the game, which is a sequel to the animated movie Heavy Metal 2000, Julie must save her home planet Eden from GITH, an ancient being that wants to conquer the universe. Now, with a variety of weapons, Julie must fight GITH's forces while uncovering a secret hidden deep inside the planet.

Story

F.A.K.K.² stands for Federation-Assigned Ketogenic Killzone and is both the name of the heroine, Julie, and her homeworld. Before the game begins, we learn that Julie previously killed a tyrant and "would-be god" named Lord Tyler (during the events of Heavy Metal 2000) and brought the remains of her people to a planet called Eden. The people of Eden have made a startling discovery: the planet's water grants eternal life to those who drink it, and they have restored the rural paradise, grazing "creepers" (large bull-like creatures) and peacefully going about their business. The planet is camouflaged by a FAKK2 beacon and looks like a wasteland littered with biohazards, hoping to remain hidden from any threat. But a creature named Gith, who appears only as a disembodied cybernetic head, runs a hyper-corporation called Gith Industries, whose "employees" are little more than slaves. He scours the universe in a ship made up of three quarters of a planet, and is on his way to a place called Na'ChThraThull, the "place of gentle machines," which turns out to be Eden. Then the planet's protective shield is destroyed by a series of explosive asteroids, and a number of bad guys (actually Gith's employees) invade the planet. These include giant mosquitoes and their source, a large queen named Vymish Mama, skinless bear-like Grawlix, plants that shoot poison darts, giant carnivorous plants, Gith's cybernetic Fleshbinders, and Soul Harvesters. With the help of weaponsmith Otto and other citizens, Julie crawls through besieged Eden to reset the shield - in vain, as it turns out. She then travels through the swamps to find a character named Gruff, who unlocks her path to the Temple of We. She then overcomes the four challenges of the We before entering the final temple, where the Heart of the We is kept. But Gith is waiting for her, stealing the heart and using it to bring Lord Tyler back to life so he can take revenge on Julie. But Julie fights and kills Lord Tyler, winning the heart and banishing Gith. She returns to the city, only to find that her pregnant sister has been kidnapped by Gith, who returns in a giant space station.
