Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F is a rhythm game and the fifth installment in the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva series of Vocaloid rhythm games. It was also the first game in the Project Diva series to be released in the West. Like the original, the game primarily uses Vocaloids, a series of singing synthesizer software, and the songs created with these Vocaloids, especially the virtual diva Hatsune Miku. The game maintains the basic gameplay mechanics of the series, although with some new changes, most notably the addition of the "star" symbol to the existing cross, circle, square, triangle and arrow symbols. The "star" symbol represents the "scratch" move, where players don't press the face buttons as usual, but instead rub across the screen or flick the analog stick, depending on which system is used. The "Chance Time" has been changed compared to the previous games: Each successful hit fills a star-shaped indicator at the bottom left of the screen. When this is filled, a final scratch symbol is triggered, which changes the outcome of the scene if the hit is successful. Another new mechanic is the "Technical Zone." When it occurs during a song, players must make an unbroken combo within that time limit to earn bonus points.
