Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is an action-adventure game set in Liberty City in 1998 and serves as a prequel to Grand Theft Auto III. Players take on the role of Toni Cipriani, a member of the Leone crime family who returns from hiding to re-establish his position within the organization. The game features an open world to explore, mission-based progression and various side activities, while retaining the series' signature gameplay elements.

Story

Toni Cipriani, forced to live abroad after killing a made man on the orders of Salvatore Leone, decides to return to Liberty City. Upon his arrival, Toni is greeted by Salvatore and a member of the Leone family, Vincenzo "Lucky Vinnie" Cilli, who has risen to prominence during Toni's absence. Vincenzo is hired by Salvatore to get Toni an apartment and a job in Liberty City. A short time later, Toni quits when she realizes Vincenzo has arranged a job to ensure Toni is caught by the police. Toni then begins working with a former member of the rival Sindacco family, J.D. O'Toole, who is now loyal to Leone. But this cooperation is short-lived, as another member of the Leone family is ordered to kill O'Toole on the day he was to become the family's "made man."
