Gran Turismo
Gran Turismo is a racing game developed by Kazunori Yamauchi and is the first installment in the hugely popular simulator racing game series of the same name. After five years in development, it was a huge hit with the public and critics alike, selling 10.85 million copies worldwide by March 2013, making it the best-selling PlayStation game. The game has two different modes: Arcade Mode and Gran Turismo Mode. In Arcade Mode, players can freely choose tracks and vehicles. Winning races unlocks additional cars and tracks. In Gran Turismo mode, however, players must obtain various driver's license levels to qualify for events and earn credits, trophies, and prize cars by winning championships. Gran Turismo offers 140 cars and 11 race tracks (as well as their reverse versions).
