Gradius IV: Revival
Gradius IV is the fourth part of a series of scrolling shooters developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo. Its predecessor was Gradius III, released in 1989, although before that there were spinoffs such as Gradius Gaiden. This title brings a considerable graphic upgrade, especially with the use of colored lighting. Besides, the weapon system in the vault was expanded and removed; in particular, the editing mode was removed and an online ranking system was added.
Story
A distant memory.... The doomsday planet Bacterian is long forgotten and the planet Gradius is enjoying a time of restored peace and prosperity. But their worst nightmare is about to become reality... again.... Suddenly, a massive attack force appears out of nowhere, overwhelming the Gradius defense forces. Just when the situation seems hopeless, a lone fighter screams across the sky. The fight for freedom resumes.....
