Golf

"Golf" is a game for the NES based on the sport of the same name. In promotional materials, the golfer was identified as Mario, even though he isn’t wearing his usual shirt and overalls. The gameplay of "Golf" is relatively simple. The player is given a ball, and a map on the right side of the screen shows the hole into which they must hit the ball. Any obstacles along the way are also shown on the map. The player earns more points depending on how many times they have to hit the ball to get it into the hole. There are also many different types of clubs to choose from, which can be selected by pressing the up/down buttons on the + control pad.
