Story

In 1954, Godzilla attacked Japan. After his attack, mankind discovered and harnessed G-Energy, an energy source that came from Godzilla. Sixty years later, Godzilla reappears to feed on the G-Energy. Godzilla roams Japan, fighting kaiju that seem to be attracted to him, and destroying the G-generators. Humanity gathers information about Godzilla, and it turns out that the G-Force has been constructing a Godzilla-like robot since Godzilla's first attack. Once all the data about Godzilla is gathered, the robot is deployed. It can be either Super Mechagodzilla or Kiryu, depending on the player's difficulty level. Godzilla defeats the robot and destroys the last two generators. After that, Godzilla seems to return to the sea. However, the energy he absorbs causes him to reach critical mass and become Burning Godzilla. It is believed that he will explode and destroy the world. The G-Force operator suggests freezing him and sends out freeze tanks. The Super X3 arrives, but is damaged. Shortly after, another Godzilla appears, which is also defeated. Gotengo and Super X3 manage to freeze Godzilla, and Kiryu carries him out to sea. They both sink into the sea and humanity begins to rebuild.
