Garry's Mod

Garry’s Mod is a physics-based sandbox game built on Valve’s Source engine. In basic mode, there are no objectives. Players can create non-player characters, ragdolls, and props, and then manipulate them using a physics gun that allows them to pick up, rotate, and freeze objects in place. A tool gun offers additional functions, such as welding objects together or adjusting the facial expressions of ragdolls. The game supports extensive Lua-based modding, and community-developed game modes such as “Trouble in Terrorist Town” and “Prop Hunt” have since become very popular in their own right. Originally released in 2004 as a free mod for “Half-Life 2,” it became a standalone commercial title in 2006 and holds the record as the best-selling PC-exclusive game.
