Formula 1 98

Formula 1 98

Psygnosis returns with Formula 1 98, offering not only a new game engine and new features, but also developer Visual Science. Formula 1 98 also features a real 1998 FIA license, ensuring real tracks, cars, racers, teams, more detailed statistics and other lifelike aspects of Formula 1. Visually, Visual Science has managed to improve depth of field and reduce popping while providing the same detailed and fast graphics that the first two games were known for. Players will also experience the action from a new cockpit view with realistic head animations of the drivers and new particle effects that add realism and crash effects. Besides, now there are not only famous English commentators, but also real commentators in other languages - a good option for those who prefer non-English commentaries. The cars are also modeled after the 1998 versions, with more emphasis on details and advertising, while all the tracks have also been greatly improved. The interface now features a track map in arcade mode, while the driving dynamics and car controls in simulation mode have been improved to look more realistic than ever. Formula 1 98's new pit features have also been added, including animated pit crews, penalties and wipeout-style pit stops in Arcade mode. Psygnosis has also included a new arcade challenge mode, while retaining many of the game's existing features such as modes, options and general features.
