FIFA 08

FIFA 08

FIFA 08 (called FIFA Soccer 08 in North America) is the 2007 edition of EA Sports' soccer video game series. It was developed by EA Canada and is published worldwide by Electronic Arts under the EA Sports label. It was released in Europe, Australia and Asia in September 2007 and in North America in October 2007 for all major game formats. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game feature an improved game engine with better graphics and different commentators, and are referred to by EA as "next-generation." All other platforms - including the PC - use an older engine. The Nintendo DS version features fewer teams, stadiums, game modes and kits due to the device's limited memory. On the next-generation consoles, the game will feature commentary by Sky Sports' Martin Tyler and Andy Gray; on the current-generation consoles and the PC version of the game, ITV Sports' Clive Tyldesley is Gray's partner. On the DS version of the game, Tyldesley is alone. It is also the first time since FIFA 2001 that the Nintendo GameCube has been excluded from the FIFA series, and the first time since FIFA Football 2002 that the original Xbox and Game Boy Advance have been excluded from the FIFA series. The game's tagline is "Can You FIFA 08?"[2] The theme song is "Sketches (20 Something Life)" by La Rocca, from the album The Truth.
