Every Day the Same Dream
Every Day the Same Dream is a short 2D art game that puts the player in the role of a man whose life is about to change. The player must deviate from the predetermined path in order to complete the game.
Story
Although the game has no traditional storyline, the player controls an employee and guides this avatar through everyday life. When the avatar gets dressed, drives to work and sits down at his workplace, the dream begins again with the initial bedroom scene. An old woman in the elevator gives the cryptic message: "Five more steps and you'll be a new person." As soon as the player deviates from the predetermined path and triggers five specific interactions, the dream begins in a new state with the player's avatar as the only person in the game world. The next time the player returns to the office and passes the empty offices, the avatar stops and watches as an identical character jumps off the roof and the game ends.
