Etrian Mystery Dungeon

Etrian Mystery Dungeon

"Far away in the mountains, the small village of Aslarga becomes a hub for adventurers seeking fame and fortune in the Mystery Dungeons. But in Etrian Mystery Dungeon, a turn-based action RPG roguelike developed by ATLUS and Spike Chunsoft, terrible challenges await even the most steadfast adventurers. The Nintendo 3DS exclusive title combines the extensive RPG party and skill customization aspects of Etrian Odyssey with the endless random dungeon adventures of Mystery Dungeon. The action- and turn-based combat means that fighting monsters isn't just about using the right skills, but becomes an elegant pas de quatre of strategic positioning. Players assemble their parties using the familiar Etrian Odyssey classes, customize them with Etrian-style skill trees, and then take up to four members into the dungeons. The dungeons are always randomly generated and offer different levels and paths that require a lot of exploration, not to mention the incredible loot up for grabs - just be wary of what's waiting in the deepest depths."

Story

Check out Aslarga, a beautiful city known for its picturesque landscape, where the amber Yggdrasil crowns the landscape. The city thrives thanks to a steady stream of adventurers, all attracted by the mysterious dungeons that exist in the area. The structure of the mysterious dungeons is as tangled and complex as an anthill and changes every time an adventurer enters them, so only the bravest dare to venture into these crazy mazes. They receive a lot of support from Aslarga, both from its citizens and from its government. The guild master teaches them how to explore and provides them with workers to build fortresses that serve as front-line bases. Why is Aslarga so active in supporting adventurers? The town leader says, "To prepare for the day of reckoning...".
