Ether One

Ether One is a first-person adventure that deals with the fragility of the human spirit. There are two paths in the world that you can choose from. The main one is to explore the story without puzzles, letting you unfold the story at your own pace. There is also a deeper, more adventurous path where you can solve complex puzzles to recreate life-changing events in the patient's story to help them reaffirm their life. The choice is yours. Welcome to Pinwheel. The goal of Parallel Paths was to make Ether One accessible to a range of experienced players. The hope was that it would be fun to play the game with parents or friends and solve puzzles, and that you could also dive into the game alone and without the lights on. From a young age, we enjoyed the first-person puzzle games where you had to write cryptic notes on slips of paper to solve puzzles. Ether One aims to revive pen and paper puzzle solving while being accessible and optional for people who don't want to get stuck and frustrated with the more difficult puzzles.
