Eternal Threads

Eternal Threads

Eternal Threads is a single-player puzzle game in the first-person perspective that deals with time manipulation, decisions and consequences.

Story

You are Operator 43, working for the newly formed Project Second Chance, tasked with righting the many wrongs of the past. As an Operator tasked with fixing the corruption in the timestream, you were sent to the north of England in May 2015, where six people died in a house fire. Unable to simply stop the fire, you must instead manipulate the decisions made by the occupants of the house in the week leading up to the fire so that they all survive the event. From the beginning, you have free rein to explore the seven days leading up to the fire. You can view and change the important events of the entire week as often as you like and in any order you like. Some decisions only have a minor impact on the timeline by moving objects around the house or revealing deeper stories and secrets. Major changes, on the other hand, rewrite the timeline by altering existing events, adding new events and even replacing other events completely. You'll need to move up and down this timeline, changing the decisions at different points during the week so that their effects interact and combine to save all six housemates. But it's not just the housemates who have a choice. Each of them can be saved from the fire in multiple ways, with each outcome having a profound impact on their future lives. Will you just look for the quickest and easiest solution, or can you find the best possible outcome for everyone? Ultimately, everything is about choices and consequences.
